Weekend Fun

Friday night Bobby & I had to run to Dollar General to pick up a few things.  While we were there he found some footed pajama's.  I have been wanting a pair for a while, but never found any in my size.  He found a pair in my size....so we bought them & as soon as I got home I put them on.  The kids thought they were cute...Mom & Bobby laughed.  I LOVE THEM!  They keep me warm...and that is ALL that matters!!!

WKU played in the NCAA tournament Friday night.  I was the only one who stayed awake to watch the game.  They played a great game, but came up a little short.  I will ALWAYS be a HILLTOPPER!!

Saturday afternoon it warmed up enough for the girls to go outside and paint.

And Spencer was striking poses for them...

When Bobby got home from work they bombarded him in the chair.  I think they missed him :)

On Sunday Morgan & Haylee painted some gourds.  Morgan painted her hand like a snake...

Since the kids won't be here for Easter this year they wanted colored deviled eggs for supper tonight.  We made them last year & the kids LOVED them!  You can read about it HERE.  This year the girls helped me.

While the eggs were soaking; we got a hail storm.  It came out of no where.

The ground looked like it had snowed when it stopped.  The kids were amazed.

The eggs finished and waiting for supper time.

We had a dance off before supper.

After supper the kids piled up on Bobby in our bed.  He had to work all weekend and everyone here MISSED him!!!

Happy Monday!  This is the kids last week of school before Spring Break.  It is snowing at the moment and they say we could get some accumulation tonight.  Where is the SPRING weather???

Thank goodness it is FINALLY Friday!  Here are some of the highlights of our week.

1.  This week at school the kids got to dress up.  Morgan is the only one who dressed up.  HERE is 50's day, HERE is 60/70's day & I forgot to take pictures of 80's day.

2.  Haylee & Spencer's 4th grade class went to Frankfort.  We all had a great day.  The capitol was absolutely beautiful & amazing.  It was an enjoyable trip. You can read about it HERE.

3.  The girls loved gymnastics this week.  They got to work on the bars for the first time.  They are loving their gymnastics class each week.  You can read about them HERE, HERE & HERE.

4.  I have put in 8 job applications this week.  I am hoping to hear from something SOON.  Staying at home all the time is NOT my idea of fun!  I am used to working & I miss patient care.  I am ready to get back to work.

5.  We are looking forward to the weekend with all the kiddo's.  Just wish the weather was going to be nice.  The first day of Spring was this week...so where is the warm Spring-like weather.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

Thursday

Lorri & I spent the day out in town.  It was nice to get out of the house for a few hours.  We ended up eating at KFC.  It was really good!!

My van got a much need bath this afternoon.  The kids have been writing "Wash Me" on the back glass for a couple of weeks.

The girls had Gymnastics this afternoon.  They started out on the floor doing flips.  Then they went to the balance beam.  They also made it to the bars right before class was over.  This was the first time they had been on the bars.

Field Trip

Today Haylee & Spencer had their 4th grade field trip.  They went to Frankfort.  Thankfully Bobby & I were both able to go with them.

On our way to Frankfort

Our first stop was The Kentucky Historical Society.  It was very informational and had a lot of displays.  The kids rushed through it and didn't take in all the exhibits.  I would love to go back with adults and have time to look and enjoy the history.

Next they went to the "Old Capital".

The next stop was the "new" Capital.  It was amazing & beautiful.

On the way home they stopped at Steak & Shake to eat.
