Today during PE class they learned how to dance at school. They came home to show off their moves.

Home Sweet Home
It is good to be home, but Bobby is still in a lot of pain. His back is really sore from all the spinal taps...They ended up sticking him 5 times. He has bruises all up & down his arms from IV's & lab work. I have been trying to get him to rest all day, but he is stubborn & hard headed. His BP has been pretty good all day. His head is still hurting in the same spot...which still concerns me. He thinks he is going back to work tomorrow...but he is wrong!!! We have had company in & out all day long. I have managed to get the house straightened up & done some laundry. Morgan thought she had to come home to help. She did help me with the housework. I am still wore out & exhausted. We watched Courageous before we went to bed. It was an AWESOME movie...definitely a MUST see!!
Thanks to everyone for all the calls/text/prayers. We really appreciate everything! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

48 hours of terror
Note: Writing in orange is twitter updates while we were gone.
What a 48 hours. It all started Thursday morning. Bobby woke up with a massive head-ache. His head had been hurting since Monday. I told him I was taking him somewhere to have it seen about. We headed to Columbia Emergency Room. His blood pressure was 178/106 when we got to the ER. They did a CT scan on his head, gave him some pain medicine & blood pressure medicine IV. They sent us home with blood pressure prescriptions. Here are a few pictures from Columbia ER.
After going to get his medicine filled I went and got the kids off the bus. I headed to work & left Morgan & Spencer home with Bobby. He said he was feeling better & his BP was down, so I headed to work.
On Friday morning when I got home Bobby was sitting on the couch and said his head was busting again. I give him some more headache medicine and ask him if he had taken his BP medicine. He said yes. I was so tired I went and laid down. I woke up to the phone ringing. When I answered this is what I heard "They are sending me to Louisville because they think I have an aneurysm". I think my world stopped for a second at that moment. I asked him what was going on and he tried to explain it to me, but I wasn't satisfied with his responses. He told me to stay home and go get all the kids and he would go by himself. I told him not on his life. I called and got all the kids took care of & ran out the door with nothing in hand but my phone and the clothes on my back.
When I got to Columbia hospital he was in the ER on the stretcher. His aunt was there with him and he looked horrible. He said they had tried to do a spinal tap on him and they didn't get it. I still didn't know what was going on until the doctor came in and talked to us. I tried to get him to send us to BG because that's where I work and it would have been more convenient for everyone to be there to help. The doctor said he would feel more comfortable if something was going on if we were up there. So we headed to Louisville. They wouldn't let him ride with me up there he had to ride in the Ambulance. When we left Columbia his BP was 176/98. They never gave him anything at Columbia for his BP. They loaded him on the ambulance and I followed them. I was on there bumper all the way up there. We drove 75-90...back roads and all. I was a nervous wreck all the way up there. Thank goodness for everyone who listened to me cry and talk all the way to Louisville.
When we got to Louisville they already had us a room. They took Bobby's BP when we got there and it was 189/110. They got him in the bed and all the paperwork filled out. After they got him settled in they started on IV fluids. (At Norton's waiting 2 see what's going on & hoping 2 get answers...Please continue 2 pray 4 Bobby)
His sister & brother-in-law got there about 45 mins after we did. When they got there we had to run to Target to get Bobby some pajama pants, deo and some snacks/drinks. While we were gone the nurse came in and told Bobby they would do a CT scan tonight & he couldn't have anything to eat/drink after midnight just in case the CT scan showed something. If the CT scan showed anything they would do surgery on Saturday. I knew as soon as I left they would come in with information. While I was gone they came in and gave him some BP medicine. When I got back he got his clothes changed and tried to eat something. He couldn't eat because it made him sick. It BP was still high so they gave him some pain medicine to try to bring in down & relief some of his pain. The IV medicine didn't help so they gave him a pain pill by mouth. They ended up having to give him another IV pain medicine before he finally got some relief and his BP started coming down. He was higher then a kite. His brother-in-law went to get him a smokeless cigarette because he couldn't go smoke. Here is a picture of him high, smoking his cigarette.
His sister stayed with us until almost midnight. When she left Bobby's BP was 134/85. After she left we curled up in the bed and tried to go to sleep. They were in and out of the room all night, so we didn't get but a couple of hours of sleep. (Waiting 4 them 2 come get Bobby 4 a CTA. Praying for good results & 2 find out what's going on. Thxs 4 all the calls/texts/prayers.)
Saturday morning they started coming in at 4 to draw blood. At 5:15 they came to get him to do a CTA of his brain. (Bobby has gone down 4 his CTA. Praying 4 answers & good results. BP is down this morning...106/65 (YAY). I have never seen it that low.)
He was only gone for about 15 minutes and they brought him back. They said his lab work wasn't back yet so they couldn't do the CTA yet. They wanted to make sure his kidneys were able to excrete the dye. They said it would be about 30 mins to 1 hour and they could come back and get him to do the CTA. We decided to stay awake because there was no sense in being woke up in that short amount of time. I went downstairs to smoke and when I came back this is what I saw.
They had to start a new IV for the dye to go through. They tried to stick him in the AC with an 18 gauge and missed. They finally got one a 20 gauge in the left forearm. After they got his IV started we layed back down & dozed back off to sleep. His BP stayed down all night. It was 106/62 when we woke up Saturday morning. The nurse came in and said they were going to do the spinal tap & CTA at the same time. They had to wait on the radiologist on call to come from the main hospital. (Been a long morning. Still waiting 4 him 2 get CT. Brought him back earlier bc lab work wasn't back yet. He is resting & in no pain. BP is down & been down all night :). Thanks 4 all the prayers/texts/calls. Keep praying & I will update when we know something)
At 11:30 they took him down to do all the test. (Bobby has gone down 4 his CTA & spinal tap. Keep those prayers coming. Will update when I know more.) (He is back in the room. Both test complete just waiting 4 results. Pain is back & BP is going back up. Praying we find out what's causing it)When he came back he had to lay flat for 3 hours. He was in a lot of pain with his head and back. They give him a pain shot and it didn't touch the pain, so they gave him a pain pill. Neither touched his pain so I asked the nurse to check his BP. It was 158/101 so they gave him some BP medicine IV. Here is a picture of him in his pain.
His brother and sister-in-law came up and brought Gracie & Harley. Here is a few pictures of the girls with Bobby. (BP back up & pain is back. Still no results from CTA. Spinal tap was ok)
The doctor came in and said the CTA scan came back fine and the headaches where caused by his high BP. I wasn't satisfied with that answer. He said he was going to look at his blood work & labs and if everything was normal we could go home. I wanted to know what was causing his headaches because they were always in the same place and Bobby said they felt like pressure instead of a headache. I wanted some answers before I left. When the dr came back he said he had a severe sinus infection. He said we could go home with antibiotics, blood pressure pills, pain pill & an antihistamine. We gathered all our things up and headed home. On the way home Bobby kept saying he felt sick. We stopped and got him something to eat but he was only able to eat a few bites.
We stopped at Walmart to get all his medication filled. As soon as we got home he stumbled to the bathroom and got sick at his stomach. I gave him all his medicine and he laid in the chair. His brother & sister-in-law came up for a little while. Then we both took showers/baths & went to bed. (We r home. CT scan showed severe sinus infection. He has a ton of meds & is still weak/dizzy. Thanks 4 all the prayers/text/calls.)

Weekend Recap
This past weekend was the first we have had without kids in a long time. Our lives revolve around the kids & they are here most of the time. We even have weekends when they are supposed to be with their other parents, but somehow they end up back here :) It is nice to have some alone time every now and then though (and healthy for a relationship). Friday night we headed to BG to eat. We had planned to go to O'Charley's because it is my favorite place. We went to pick mom up & on the way to O'Charley's I decided I wanted Shogun's. It was Bobby's first time eating there. I wish I would have taken my camera because he was amazed when they cooked in front of us. He LOVED the food & said we have to go back sometime, which is fine with me because I love that place. After eating we set out on a mission to find Bobby a pair of tennis shoes. We finally found some at the mall that he was satisfied with. On the way home we stopped at Brad & Beth's to visit for a minute.
On Saturday we headed out. We ended up in London at the Harley Davidson store, so Bobby could drool & look (dream) at bikes. He is bound & determined to have a bike before warm weather gets here...we will see. Then we headed to the Flea Market, we didn't find anything we couldn't live without so we left empty handed. We stopped at Golden Corral to eat lunch/supper. I love that place, they have the best salad bar..EVER. We also made the dreaded trip to Walmart for groceries...feeding 5 kids is expensive, plus the fact that we were out or almost out of EVERYTHING in the house. The trip was successful & we have lots of food now :) Saturday night Brad, Beth & the girls came up to play cards. It had been a while since we could get our schedules the same in order to play. We love to play Skip-bo and Phase 10. We also got the board games out and played a few games of Clue. We had a great weekend...to bad it had to end :(
Sorry no pictures...the camera took a vacation this weekend too :)
Back to work I went Sunday. One night wasn't too bad, but I don't like my schedule chopped up. I would rather work all my days together & get them over with. I am still hunting for the "right" job. I have put in several applications and I have been praying for God to lead me in the right direction for my family & myself.

Balance?
Balance....A major problem right now. As many of you know I have been working "mandatory" overtime for several weeks now and from the looks of things it will continue for a while. This means more time away from my family. I am having a hard time balancing myself & my jobs. I have two jobs; one being a mommy & the other a RN. For the last 10 years I have ALWAYS been able to be there for all my children's activites, events, night time rountines & to tuck them into bed. Working twelve hour night shift has put a hamper on all of this. I feel like I am spending more time at work then I am with my kids. I know this is part of being a working mom, but this is the first time I have had to balance myself between two jobs. I have worked since I have had kids, but I have always worked a day job where I have been able to be home with the kids every night. I have been looking for another job for a few weeks, but now more then ever I am willing to take a huge pay cut if I could find something closer to home with better hours.
I am just having a hard time finding the right balance and I don't want to miss out on important times in my children's lives.
How do you find balance between home & work?

Happy Friday the 13th
We woke up to a blanket of snow this morning. The kids were out of school today & they were all excited. Morgan had a dentist appointment to get a cavity filled so we headed out. Bobby drove us because I don't drive on slick roads. The main roads were clear, but our road was solid & slick.
After supper & picking up the house, Bobby & I played cards. I beat him in Phase 10 & Skipbo, two of our favorite games. While we were playing cards the girls set up an obstacle course in the house.
After we got out of the dentist we took the girls to McDonald's for breakfast. Morgan's mouth was still numb from having her cavity filled.
Then we headed to get Haylee for the weekend. Spencer went to Meme's for the weekend, so we just had all the girls (poor Bobby). We headed home to watch scary movies on Netflix. The girls cracked me up squealing through the movies. They lasted through two movies and they were finished.

Christmas at Grandma & Papa's
We had Christmas late at Grandma Lowe's & Papa John's because Grandma had surgery a few days before Christmas. She had a place removed on her hand that was skin cancer. She always cooks hamburgers & french fries fro Christmas dinner. It wasn't our weekend to have kids, but Morgan wanted to go with us. We picked her up & tried to get Spencer to go with us, but he didn't want to. On the way there Bobby played with Morgan's new lamb, "Lambchop".
Grandma always makes me my favorite cake & sent a whole one home...just for me :) It is yellow cake with homemade carmel icing. It is the BEST!
After leaving there we headed to Brad & Beth's to play cards...sorry I left my camera in the van & didn't get any pictures. We played Phase 10 and Brad & Bobby cooked on the grill. Good times :)
