Last Day of School 2013

Today is the LAST day of the 2012-2013 school year.




I'm very thankful for a wonderful year at ACES!







My little girl is going to Middle School next year. She is growing up way to fast.




We are looking forward to summer...sleeping late, day trips & spending lots of time together. Hello summer break 2013!

Teacher Appreciation Week

This week the kids took a gift for their teachers each day. I am very thankful for all the kids past, present & future teachers. It takes a SPECIAL person to do their job. I am also very thankful for all the teachers at ACES who have made this a wonderful year for the kids.

Monday they took bottles of water. I found this idea HERE on Pinterest. It is a free printable.




On Tuesday they took Kool-aid packets. I found the idea HERE but couldn't find a printable so I made my own in photoshop.




On Wednesday the took popcorn. I found the idea HERE. It is also a free printable.




On Thursday they took treat bags. Mom made these & found the idea HERE.




On Friday the took Extra gum. I found the idea HERE.  I made my own in Photoshop. I forgot to take a picture before they left with them but I had Morgan send me one from her iPod.




The kids came home each day telling me what all the teachers said about their gifts. Morgan even came home one day with a thank you note from one of ER teachers.










The principal even left me a sweet comment on Facebook about the gifts.

We can't wait to get their end of the year gifts made!

Weekend Recap

Saturday I worked on my t-shirt quilt some more. I love the way it is turning out & can't wait to get it finished.




The girls worked on a special project for their mom's to take home for Mother's Day.




Sunday was a rainy day so we went & rented some movies.

Thursday Photo Dump

Today was a beautiful day! Peanut enjoyed being outside.



When the kids got home they ha to tell me what happened on the way home. Apparently something hit the back glass in the truck (which we are borrowing due to the fact that our transmission went out of our only vehicle 2 weeks ago) & shattered the back glass. Our luck hasn't been so good the last few weeks. I just keep telling myself it has to start getting better sooner or later. Sooner would be great right now...




The kids decided they were going to push each other on the lawn mower around the yard. I think they are supposed to both be on the same side pushing.




They finally figured it out though.




The girls had gymnastics tonight.










I'm not looking forward to these storms moving in later tonight. I dislike storms...but especially at night.

Hot Rods Opening Night 2013

Spencer has always wanted to go to opening night at BGBP. We went one year & it was a wash out. This year the weather was beautiful.

The kids enjoyed the game and the beautiful weather.  They played in the bounce houses and on the grass.

Weekend Recap

Saturday morning Spencer had a scrimmage.

Saturday afternoon we hung out around the house.  The kids played in the back yard.  Mom took the girls to the park while Bobby & I took Spencer to get the rest of his stuff for baseball.  When we got back the hubby cooked on the grill.

On Sunday I went to work with the hubby.



While we were gone the girls painted.



Spencer had his last ball practice before the season starts.

Spring Break 2013 is officially over. Before bed I filled out picture orders, signed folder & got everything ready for the start of another week. Luckily only 6 more weeks until summer break!!!

Weekend Fun

Friday night Bobby & I had to run to Dollar General to pick up a few things.  While we were there he found some footed pajama's.  I have been wanting a pair for a while, but never found any in my size.  He found a pair in my size....so we bought them & as soon as I got home I put them on.  The kids thought they were cute...Mom & Bobby laughed.  I LOVE THEM!  They keep me warm...and that is ALL that matters!!!

WKU played in the NCAA tournament Friday night.  I was the only one who stayed awake to watch the game.  They played a great game, but came up a little short.  I will ALWAYS be a HILLTOPPER!!

Saturday afternoon it warmed up enough for the girls to go outside and paint.

When Bobby got home from work they bombarded him in the chair.  I think they missed him :)

On Sunday Morgan & Haylee painted some gourds.  Morgan painted her hand like a snake...

Since the kids won't be here for Easter this year they wanted colored deviled eggs for supper tonight.  We made them last year & the kids LOVED them!  You can read about it HERE.  This year the girls helped me.

While the eggs were soaking; we got a hail storm.  It came out of no where.

The ground looked like it had snowed when it stopped.  The kids were amazed.

We had a dance off before supper.

After supper the kids piled up on Bobby in our bed.  He had to work all weekend and everyone here MISSED him!!!

Happy Monday!  This is the kids last week of school before Spring Break.  It is snowing at the moment and they say we could get some accumulation tonight.  Where is the SPRING weather???
