Bible School Celebration

The kids have attended Bible School all week at our church.  They have had a great time and have come home every night telling us what they have learned.  Tonight they had their end of the week celebration.  They played on the water slide, played basketball, ate pizza and pied the preacher.

New Adventure

Today was my first day on the floor at my new job. It is a totally different environment then what I was used to. Everything is charted on paper vs what I was used to on the computer. It is going to take some getting used to.

I do know I LOVE not having to drive 80 miles one way to work & I LOVE the 8 hour shifts. I also like that I am able to wear any scrubs I want. I can't wait to be able to expand my scrubs & say goodbye to the ceal blue scrubs. I have a few sets right now, but my goal is to have enough to last me a week without washing scrubs. I only has two pairs before therefore I was doing laundry every other day...which wasn't too bad when I only worked three days a week. Now I will be working five so I need a little variety!

Here is my outfit for my first day :)

Softball

The hubby wanted to go hit some softballs this afternoon; so we headed to the park. I hadn't played softball in years. We had a good time & it was nice to play again. We are going to start hitting/practicing more because we both enjoy playing.

A Day At the Lake

Today we went to the lake with Haylee, her parents & grandparents. This was the first time I had ever been on a boat. We all had a BLAST. Morgan & Spencer got to ride the tube & the jet skies. Bobby took me for a ride on the jet ski. We did some swimming off the boat as well. We had a great day. Thanks for having us!

Chicago...Day 2 (6-19-12)

On the agenda for today was Lincoln Park Zoo & The Chicago White Sox/Cubs game.  We loaded the van up and headed to get something to eat before heading to the zoo.  We ended up sitting in a traffic jam for almost three hours...to go a whole 26 miles.  The hubby kept us entertained...

...and the kids were REALLY well behaved!  We finally made it to the zoo around 2::00.

After leaving the zoo we headed to the ballpark to find a parking spot.  The ballpark was located on the "south" side of Chicago (which is the rougher part of town...from what I understand).  When we got to the ballpark the gates were still closed, but the kids had some money left so they were able to buy a few souvenirs (I forgot to take any pictures of them)...but here is what they walked away with.

Morgan-White Sox Key Chain
Spencer-White Sox T-shirt
Haylee- White Sox Shirt & White Sox baseball (for her brother)
Harley-Pink baseball
Gracie-White Sox stuffed animal & White Sox baseball (she bought for Spencer)

After the game we grabbed a box of White Castle's, let the kids change into their PJ's, switched seats in the vehicle, gassed up the van & headed toward KY.  The kids were asleep in no time.

Spencer picked the game he wanted to see...and he would pick a cross town rival (which was a lot more expensive, but he wanted to see both teams play)

The kids all got certificates for attending the ballgame with their names & the dates since it was their first White Sox game!
