Spring Fever

The weather in KY today was absolutely beautiful.  The kids were able to get their Big Green Machines out and ride.

 

The biggest kid in the house had to have his turn too...

 

There was also some tree climbing...

 

 

...some trampoline jumping...

 







 

...and some sun bathing.



 





The dog even enjoyed the sunshine.

I'm still here

The last few months I have stepped away from blogging. I still read some of my favorite blogs, but haven't taken the time to actually write. Life has happened...We have been busy...but I'm back. We just moved into a new house & we are trying to get settled. 

Yesterday Bobby had to pick up a sick child at school. He took off work to take her to the doctor. He is a keeper that's for sure. She has pink eye so I will be spending the next 3 days with her. We are just being lazy today & resting. 

Hopefully tomorrow we can accomplish some things around the house. 

Saturday Baseball

Today was Spencer's last baseball game of the season. It was a makeup game & I was glad to be able to watch him play. This was the first time I had seen him play since I had went to second shift.

Shogun's & New Shoes

Today we took the kids to eat lunch at Shogun's.

Morgan found a huge bull & she had to stop & see it. 

We headed to the mall to look around. Sometimes they embarrass the crap out of me in public. 

I finally found a pair of Air Max that I loved. Bobby bought them for me as an early birthday present. 

Sandals, Garden & Fairy Garden

The kids needed new sandals for summer so this morning we headed to the mall. This is what they ended up with.

Our little garden is starting to grow. 

The kids found a baby bird in the yard. 

Since we went on the Fairy Garden Tour Morgan has been wanting to start working on her very own Fairy Garden. Today we started...it still has a long way to go, but we have officially started. 

Sunday in Adair County

Today Morgan, Haylee & I went to work with Bobby. We hung out while he was working.

When he got finished we went riding. We took the girls to see where "Back Yard Oil" was filmed. We used to drive by it everyday on our way home, but it wasn't a big deal back then. 

Our next stop was my dream home. I fell in love with this house when we first moved to Adair County. It has been empty for a long time. It went up for auction, but the bank didn't let it go. It is now in real estate. If your gonna dream...Dream BIG :) 

We then went to visit our old neighbors & to see our dog. They weren't at home, but we were able to see Leo. We all miss him. Morgan & Haylee were super excited to see him. 

When we got home we fired up the grill & cooked out. 

I fixed an ice cream sandwich cake & the kids loved it. 

While we were gone all day Mom worked in the yard. The side of the building is looking cute!

Flowers, Flowers & More Flowers

Today we started working on the raised bed to start our little garden.







Now we just have to get some more dirt & plant our stuff. We are going to have some tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers & squash.

I also talked the hubby into buying a few flowers so I could have a few more pots. I miss having my own yard & being able to work in my flowers beds. I went to Dollar Tree & picked up a few buckets to make into flower pots. They turned out super cute...I think I will go get a few more.
















It is a beautiful day in south central Kentucky. Happy Memorial Day Weekend. Everyone be safe if you are traveling.

Last Day of School 2013

Today is the LAST day of the 2012-2013 school year.




I'm very thankful for a wonderful year at ACES!







My little girl is going to Middle School next year. She is growing up way to fast.




We are looking forward to summer...sleeping late, day trips & spending lots of time together. Hello summer break 2013!

Happy 12th Birthday, Morgan Elizabeth Phelps. It's hard to believe its been 12 years since you were born. You have become a beautiful, intelligent young lady before my eyes. You showed me the meaning of true love when you came into my life. I look forward to watching you grow & change each day. I hope you have a WoNdErFuL day! I love you to the moon & back times infinity.
