Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

Today I went to BG to finish up wedding shopping.

When I got home Bobby & I planted some flower to spruce up the house. My favorite thing is the tipsy turby mom painted for me. I absolutely love it & plan on doing some more next year. The flowers make a world of difference in the appearance of the house.

Everything is coming together, slowly, but surely. Mom has gotten everything done except the fingerprint canvas & the picture frames.  Without her craftiness this wedding would have cost me a fortune :)  Thanks MOM for putting up with me!  I LOVE YOU!

10 Days :)

My living room looks like Hobby Lobby.  Mom came up over the weekend to work on wedding stuff and we didn't get anything accomplished.  I wasn't feeling good plus I had to work all weekend, so I just told her to leave everything and I would work on it when I felt better.  Yesterday I was able to get up for a few hours and work on a few things.  I still have lots of things to do, but they will have to wait until I am feeling better.  I can't believe the wedding is in 10 days!!!  I hope I start feeling better soon or I will be crazy trying to get everything finished.

This afternoon after we picked the kids up from school; we had a hail storm at this house.  We were outside under the carport when it started so we stuck it out.  Spencer & Morgan couldn't decide if they want to stand under the carport to watch or sit in the van.  It was hitting the metal roof pretty hard at times, but thankfully it didn't last long.

Quick Update

I am alive....just been sicker than a dog for the last two weeks.  After two trips to the ER I  can finally say I feel a little better.  The first trip was almost two weeks ago because of an allergic reaction.  After another trip this week I think I might just live.  I was feeling so bad I had to get better to die.  It has been a rough few weeks, but after a diagnosis of pneumonia, some antibiotics & some rest I believe I will live a little longer.  Bobby has ordered me to be on bed rest the last two days, which is hard to do when life doesn't stop.  I have been coughing my head off for almost three weeks & my house looks like a tornado has come through.  Last night I finally managed to get some sleep & I feel a lot better this morning.  That's all for now, just wanted to update my blog since it has been put on the back burner once again.  Hope everyone has a great Friday & a good weekend.  Hopefully I will continue to feel better & can get this house back in order :)

What A Week

It has been an eventful week in the Phelps/Jessie household.  Sunday night I got put on call at work due to low census because of Easter.  I was glad to be put on call because I wasn't feeling well.  I was already on my way to work when they called so I turned around and headed back home.  I called Bobby to see if he wanted me to stop & pick up supper; since it was just him & me for the night. I stopped and got pizza on the way home.  I laid around on the couch and read some on my book until we went to bed.  I took some cough syrup before going to bed because I had a nagging cough.  I woke up around 2:30 am and thought I was dying.  I couldn't catch my breath, my heart was racing, had to run to the bathroom because I was sick at my stomach and felt like I was going to pass out.  I finally gain my composure & was able to get back to bed.  I woke Bobby up & told him if I didn't get to feeling better he was going to have to get up and take me to the ER.  I was up three more times before six am.  I finally woke Bobby up to take me to the ER.  My whole body was blood red like I had a horrible sunburn.  My skin was hot to the touch.  When we got to the ER I didn't have a fever, but my body was on fire.  My heart was still racing, but had slowed down to 113.  They drew blood to run some lab work, did an EKG of my heart & gave me a shot.  They said all my lab work & EKG looked good.  They sent me home on allergy medication for the next twenty four hours.  They said I had an allergic reaction to something; they thought it was the cough syrup I took before bedtime.  I laid around all day Monday due to having so much medication in me.

Tuesday morning I woke up still feeling yucky.  I felt like I had pneumonia.  My chest hurt every time I coughed.  This continued all week & I am still coughing my head off.  I have taken all kinds of over the counter medicine to try to break all the crud in my chest up.  Nothing seems to work.  I have been taking Nyquil at night to try to help me sleep, but still cough my head off.  At one time I told Bobby I would have to get better to die.  I have felt like crap all week.

Haylee is on Spring Break this week so she stay at the house Tuesday night through Friday morning.  She had a cold and wasn't feeling well either, so most days we laid around watching TV.

Friday morning Morgan woke up vomiting so I kept her home from school.  I think she may have had something settle on her stomach wrong.  By nine am she was fine & bouncing off the walls.

On Friday Bobby took off work to go get fitted for his tux.  It was the first time I had been out of the house since going to the ER on Monday.  After getting his fitted for his tux we decided to enjoy the beautiful day out & about.  We spent the day sightseeing & visiting.  On the way home all the stuff in my chest started breaking up...to make a long story short I was spitting out the window & my glasses flew off my head.  Bobby turned around to go back to look for them.  We (or he) walked up & down the road for almost two hours looking for my glasses.  I tried to help him, but I am blind without my glasses.  We never found them :(  We had to go to Walmart to get groceries before we went home.  I tried to get him to wait until the weekend because I didn't want to walk around Walmart & not be able to see.  He wanted to go ahead & get the groceries while we were that close.  He was wonderful about guiding me through Walmart.  I couldn't see anything & he stayed right by my side.  While we where there we also picked up my wedding band (after 2 months of waiting).

Saturday morning we got up & went to look for my glasses again.  They had mowed the side of the road early this morning, so if they had been there...they were now gone :(  Then we went and put a basketball goal up for his cousin.  While he was putting it together I went tanning.  After he got finished we went to his mom & dad's to visit for a while.  Then we headed to eat BBQ in T-ville.  On the way home he stopped by his cousin's house to visit.

Sunday we headed to work to finish Bobby's van.  After getting finished working we headed home to cook on the grill.  His mom, dad & niece came up to eat with us.

Easter Fun 2012

The Easter Bunny came to our house a day early.  All the kids are leaving early in the morning & I have to work tonight so we celebrated Easter one day early.

The Easter Bunny left lots of goodies

Morgan & Spencer looking at their goodies

Harley checking her basket out

Gracie loved her bug catcher

Spencer wanting to trade candy

Haylee traded her other candy and ended up with all the chocolate bunnies

The kids helped Bobby clean up the yard.  They worked hard to move all the old lumber out of the yard.

After getting the yard cleaned up we filled it with Easter Eggs for the kids to hunt.

Good Friday

Today we are starting our Easter Celebration at the house. I fixed the kids some special deviled eggs for supper. I found the idea on here on Pinterest.  They were VERY easy to make & the kids are dying to eat them...but they will have to wait until supper time.

Here is how I made them.  I boiled 18 eggs for 15 minutes.  Then I drained the hot water & let them sit in cold water for about 20 minutes until they were good and cold.  Then I cut the eggs in half & removed the yolk.  I filled glasses half full of water & added food coloring to get the desired colors I wanted.  I let the eggs soak in the glasses for one hour.

Then I took the eggs out & laid them on a paper towel to dry completely.

While the eggs were drying I missed the yolks to create the filling.  I used miracle whip until they were mixed to my taste. Then I separated them into two separate bowls; one with pickles & one without.
Once the eggs were completely dry I added the filling.

The kids have already stated what color eggs they are eating for supper.

We have other surprises for the kids this weekend.  We will be dying eggs, hunting eggs & maybe, just maybe the Easter Bunny will make an early appearance at our house.

What are your Easter plans?

Meet Jackson

Today I picked the kids up from Grandaddy and Granny C's. They are on Spring Break this week so they have been visiting (or as Bobby says "they have a wheel up their butt"). Morgan has a donkey there that she thinks she is going to break and ride someday. I have my own opinions about all of this...I see broken bones or possible worse happening if she tries to ride him. She has wanted a horse for years but I'm afraid she will get hurt on one. Here are some pictures of her and Jackson.
