There you have it...my top 10 pins this week.  Happy Pinning.  What have you pinned?

Why I do it...

Megan at In this wonderful life posted a blog entry today about why she blogs.  Her blog has inspired me since I started reading it in April 2010.  I have blogged about her & her children several times on my blog because her & her family are such an inspiration.  After reading her post today it got my brain to spinning...So here is

Why I do it....blogging that is

I started blogging in March 2009.  When I started "Our CrAzY Life" it was to keep friends & family up to date with our life.  Our life was busy & hectic.  Family & friends were always wanting to see pictures of the kids in their activities and to keep up with our daily life.  We lived 45 miles away from my parents & they only saw the kids on the weekend.  The kids were involved in a lot of activities and this was a way to keep them up to date.  When I started blogging I didn't worry about opening up our life to the world.  Myspace was a big thing at this time and I stored most of my pictures on there.  Soon after Facebook became the happening thing & I used it as a way to keep family/friends informed.  I had Facebook on my phone and it was always easier to add a picture or post a status then it was to sit down & write a blog entry.  Since I deleted my Facebook in July I wish I would have taken the extra time to blog.  There are days/weeks/months that were not documented because life got in the way.

I have always loved to take pictures because pictures speak a thousand words.  I taken pictures for family & friends in the past and would someday like to have time to take more pictures.  My pictures are very special to me & I have always been afraid something would happen and I would loose all of them.  I have a lot of my pictures saved to an online album and I also have an external hard drive.  When my computer crashed  I lost a bunch of my pictures off my computer, luckily I had most of them saved online & had printed some of them.  When the kids were younger digital camera's were not as popular so most of their pictures were taken from film that had to be printed.  I have been able to scan some of them and save them on my hard drive, but there are several albums of pictures that are not backed up anywhere.  My goal one day is to get them all scanned and on my external hard drive.  My blog has been a way to document pictures along with a description of where our life was at that moment.  My camera has also taken the back burner...especially since I got my I-phone.  It is so easy to pull the phone out to take pictures instead of pulling the big camera out.  I'm going to get better and bring my camera out of hibernation!

Looking back I have NO regrets of blogging and opening our family up to the world.  There are some things I wish I would have done different.  It seemed like when life got more crazy & hectic my blog got pushed to the back burner because it was always hard to find time to sit down and blog.  Over the past 3 years I have went back and added pictures/post with pictures of things I wanted to remember.  There have been many life changing events for our family in this time period.  There are still some post I need to go back and add.  When I go back and add post I don't feel like these post share what was going on in our life at the time because it is usually hard to remember, but at least the pictures are documented for the future.  I want my kids to be able to look back on this blog when they are grown and be thankful for the documentation they have.

Regardless if I blogged about the ups & downs in our life or not...they have still happened.  Life will always have it's up's & down's.  I will continue to blog about our life and how it changes.  Over the last year there have been many changes in our lives...including a new blog name/address/design.  This was mostly done to make our lives more private and more for family members.  I do wish I would have documented more the last year to be able to look back (there are several post I will go back & do soon).  Now that I am working full time & planning a wedding it seems my blog has taken the back burner again.  I want the change this NOW.  This is OUR lives & I want to be able to look back years from now & remember this special time.  My blog isn't huge.  I don't have a lot of followers, but that is not what this blog is about to ME.  Don't get me wrong I LOVE followers & I LOVE comments!   I do read & follow several blogs on a daily basis & regardless of whether I actually post an entry or not I am still on blogger everyday.  Now that I have my I-phone it makes it easy to read blogs & actually post entries; therefore starting today I am going to keep this blog more up to date.  Some days I may blog from my phone & it may be short and sweet or maybe just a picture with a caption, but I want better documentation.

For my readers, I hope you enjoy reading my blog & staying up to date with our family.  I love to share our memories with you...the good, the bad & the ugly.  Stay tune for more post!  Hope you enjoy :)

Why do you blog?????

Week in Review

Since I hadn't gotten to do any link-up's this week or even more an entry I thought I would do a quick week in review.

Sunday--Bobby & I headed to his sister's house to finish putting her roof on.  He worked hard...while I set in the grass and read my book.  I am reading The Help.  I have been having a hard time getting started on it.  I just haven't been able to find the time to sit down & really get into it.  I want to watch the movie, but I gotta read the book first.  For some reason lately reading has made me SUPER sleepy.  I ended up laying on my blanket & taking a nap.  After they got finished with the roof I headed to work.

Reading/Relaxing (or as Bobby says it "being a nerd")
Bobby & Bobby Joe working hard

Monday--My wedding favors ARRIVED!  They turned out PERFECT!  Here is a sneak peak...watch for pictures after the wedding or if you attend be sure to pick one up!!!

Thursday--I went for my second job interview today.  They are supposed to let me know something next week.  If I get the job I will not be starting until after the wedding/honeymoon.  I have been praying about this a lot.  It is in God's hands now.  I know he will provide for us.

Spencer wanted to hang his squirrel/bird feeder in the wood close to the house.  He was glad to get it up.

Spencer's feeder

Friday--Spencer had a check-up with his allergy doctor.  He said everything looked good for this time of year.  Spencer had some drainage, but he said with everything blooming that was expected.  He did change his medicine around a little.  We go back in two months & hopefully he will be decreasing some of his medicine after everything is done blooming.

Spencer being silly at the doctor's office
There's a smile...Happy Boy :)
After his doctor's appointment we headed to the Dollar Tree to look for wedding stuff.  I FINALLY found my flowers.  I have been looking EVERYWHERE for the last two months & couldn't find anything that I liked.  I bought all they had, but I will have to keep searching for some more!

Exactly what I have been looking for...and CHEAP!
The kids Easter parties were at school on Friday, but by the time we got back they were over...Spencer had already said he didn't want to go back to school anyways.  Therefore we didn't get in any hurry to rush back home.  While we were in town we stopped at my mom's work for a quick visit.  Then Spencer wanted wings from Rally's.  After a fun filled day I took Spencer to Nanny & Pa's because it was their weekend with their daddy.

Watch for a post about the weekend.  We (as in Bobby and I) are going shopping tomorrow for wedding stuff....This could be VERY interesting!!!

Morgan went to spend the weekend with Meme and they went to a painting class together.  These are the pictures I got through text messages.  Morgan is definitely going to be the crafty one in the family.

High Five Friday (3/23)

It's Friday!!!  Which means it's time to link-up with Lauren at From My Grey Desk for

Photobucket

Here are my 5 favorite things from this week.

1.  My wedding favors have been ordered & shipped.  They should be here Monday.  (Sorry NO pictures,  until after the wedding).  They are exactly what I wanted...a little expensive, but worth it!

2.  I went for a job interview yesterday!  It is A LOT closer to home & the hours are better.  Hopefully this will be the answer to all our prayers.  I am ready to be closer to home and to be able to spend more time with my family.

3.  It's tanning season again.  I made my first trip to the tanning bed this week.

4.  The kids have 1 more week of school until Spring Break.  We don't have any big plans, but we will find something to do close to home.  We already have a week full of activities planned in Chicago in June.

5.  The wedding is 44 days away.  I have accomplished a lot, but still have a lot to do.

Here is a short run down on what I have accomplished the last 2 weeks...girls dresses are here & fit, my dress is here & fits, Spencer's tux is here & fits, photographer booked, invitations mailed, favors ordered & honeymoon booked & paid for.

Things that still have to be done...find Bobby a tux, everyone needs shoes, flower (having a hard time finding what I want), order cake, order napkins/plates/cups, hair pieces for the girls, baskets for the girls.

Happy Friday!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Don't forget to grab my button in the top right corner.  If you read my blog & have a button of your own let me know so I can add it to my Button Love tab!

Since there are NO pictures in my top five favorite things of the week.  I will leave you with a picture of my five favorite people :)

5 Great Things From the week...

1. My wedding dress arrived in the mail today. It fits perfect & is exactly what I wanted. It fits great (sorry no pictures of me with it on)I am so please with it.

2. Bobby & the kids built my arch for the wedding. I love it!!!

3. I'm loving my new hair cut/style. I can't wait to be able to finally wash it tomorrow though.

4. The kids were out of school today...which means we got to sleep late. This doesn't happen often around here. Usually on my days off I have to get up to get them on the bus. It was great sleeping in until 8 am.

5. The Vow has got my attention at the moment. I tried to start reading it a couple of weeks ago & couldn't find the time to get into it. I started it again on Wednesday & am almost finished. I can't wait to see how it ends & then see the movie. So far it's a great book.

Have a wonderful weekend & enjoy the beautiful weather.

Building Project

We have a pile of old lumber in our yard and I wanted an arch made for the wedding with it.  Bobby and the kids got to work this afternoon and built it.  Morgan was his little helper.  I LOVE the finished product....exactly what I wanted and a whole lot cheaper then buying/renting one.

New Hair Cut

The weather is getting warmer & the wedding is getting closer so it was time for a new hair style. I LOVE my new hair cut (thanks Heidi).

On the way home I stopped to get supper & movies.  I rented Footloose & The Smurfs.  Footloose was a great movie.  I have not seen the first one yet, but now I will definitely be watching it.
