Back to Reality Week

Monday was my last day off before I started my new job. I wet with the hubby to work to spend some time with Aunt Linda. We ended up going to see the oil well from the TV show Back Yard Oil.




The hubby started playing Candy Crush on Moe's I-Pod. It won't be long before he is addicted.




Tuesday I started my new job. I'm super excited. The first few days is classroom orientation.




Tuesday night I got to watch Spencer play ball. It's one of the things I will definitely miss when I go to second shift. I'm so glad I got to see this game. They played their hearts out & WON their first game of the season. They were all so excited & proud!







Wednesday after school/work the kids (and the dog) all thought they were monkeys & wanted to climb the tree.




Thursday night I was wishing I had a clone. The girls had gymnastics & Spencer had a ball game. I knew it would be the last night I got to see either before I went to second shift. The girls insisted Bobby take them to gymnastics so I went to the ball game with Spencer.

Weekend Recap

It was a LAZY weekend around our house. Saturday morning we down sized our storage building. We had a 20 x 10 and went down to a 5 x 10. We had to stack stuff to the ceiling to make it fit, but we accomplished it.







Saturday night I decided to get my t-shirts out that I have been saving & start cutting them up for my next DIY project...a t-shirt quilt.










On Sunday we went to pick up the kids & visit the in-laws for a little bit. The kids were trying to do back bends...I caught Spencer in action.







On the way home we stopped to visit my Dad & Grandma. Dad is getting around a lot better & has started back to work part time. While we were at Grandma's the kids & Bobby found some dress up accessories.




When we got home we watched a few movies. I finished cutting out the rest of my t-shirts & laid them on the bed to get an idea how it was going to look.







I have a total of 81 squares. Next step is start sewing them together. I'm planning to start sewing this afternoon.

I am excited about the week ahead. I start my new job tomorrow!! I am more than ready to go back to work. I have been off for over two months. Next Monday Bobby & I will celebrate our ONE year anniversary.

Afternoon Fun

The kids have found mom's antenna & learned to climb it. Morgan thought she was going to be brave enough to climb to the top, but she got so far & froze up. Spencer didn't make it past the roof.







When mom got home from work we went to the park to walk. I wanna start running again, but need a new pair of shows first. I will settle for walking right now, but I wanna complete couch 2K5 & run a 5K before the year is over. Now I have to commit to it!




When we got home from the park the kids played wiffle ball in the yard.

Monday Night Baseball

Spencer played an awesome game tonight. He bunted for the first time and got on first base. He then stole second. He also played awesome defense. He got the game ball for the game...PROUD mommy moment!







Ball pictures came back tonight & I couldn't help but laugh. Spencer is definitely not my camera friendly child...he absolutely hates to have his picture taken...can you tell???

Weekend Recap

Friday night Spencer was supposed to have a ball game but it was cancelled due to the rain we received Thursday night/Friday morning. We just stayed at home & did a while lot of nothing.

Saturday we went to his game.




His team hasn't won a game all year, but I can see a lot of improvement in all the boys. This is a hard year due to the fact most of them are moving up from coach pitch. They have some awesome defense...they are just lacking on their pitching & hitting. Hopefully they will continue to get better and before the season is over they can get a WIN.

Saturday afternoon I had the opportunity to take prom pictures for my little cousin. She is definitely growing up way to fast. I remember when she was in diapers...where has the time gone. These are just a few I have had time to edit...still have lots more to get finished.







Sunday it was just Morgan, Spencer & I. I cleaned house most of the day while they played in the backyard. They have started playing wiffle ball & love it. I joined them after I got the house finished.







This week we only have one night at the ballpark & one night of gymnastics. We are definitely going to take advantage of it and spend some down time at home. I'm also hoping to start my new job this week...just waiting on the background check & drug screening to get back.

Thursday Photo Dump

Today was a beautiful day! Peanut enjoyed being outside.



When the kids got home they ha to tell me what happened on the way home. Apparently something hit the back glass in the truck (which we are borrowing due to the fact that our transmission went out of our only vehicle 2 weeks ago) & shattered the back glass. Our luck hasn't been so good the last few weeks. I just keep telling myself it has to start getting better sooner or later. Sooner would be great right now...




The kids decided they were going to push each other on the lawn mower around the yard. I think they are supposed to both be on the same side pushing.




They finally figured it out though.




The girls had gymnastics tonight.










I'm not looking forward to these storms moving in later tonight. I dislike storms...but especially at night.

Tuesday Rambling

Today I went to Columbia with Bobby & the kids to help his Aunt.

Last week I cleaned off her porch & her flower beds. This week she wanted me to pick up outside and haul some stuff to the dump. I also learned today Adair County does have a dump...my husband held out on me for almost two years. At least I know for future reference.

When we got home the kids played ball in the yard. This is an everyday thing at our house right now. Spencer can't decide if he wants to try to pitch or not. He has been working on it a lot at home, but hasn't gotten up the courage to pitch during a game yet. Maybe one day he will...maybe he won't. I'm leaving the decision in his hands. I will continue to work with him at home until he decides.

I Have a J.O.B.

Today I went for an interview...and I got a J.O.B.  I am excited!  It is a Monday thru Friday job...NO WEEKENDS...YAY!  It is at a local long term care/rehab center.  I start next week after my drug test and background check come back.

After the game he went to spend the rest of the weekend with his dad. Bobby & I went to one of my favorite fast food places to eat lunch...Culver's. Bobby got a triple burger which was huge.

When we got home Bobby mowed the hard while I worked on giving the girls dresser a make over.








We met Bobby's cousin & her boyfriend at Olive Garden for a quick supper before the ball game. It was a little chilly at the ballpark but I got to see an old friend & catch up a little. We had a good time & I even got my favorite ballpark food...Dippin Dots.








Saturday nights after the game they shoot fireworks so we stayed to watch them.





On Sunday I went to work with the hubby. He put me to work...





Bobby had ball practice when we got home so I rode with him. This is his first year playing softball in two years. He is exited to get back in the sport.





When we got back home I got the girls dresser arranged. It looks great in their room. We still need to get knobs for it & get the ends finished. I will post more pictures when it is completely finished.
