Day of Exploring (Monday 7-11-11)

Day 2 at Myrtle Beach

Morgan & I got up early and headed to the beach to look for shells.  It was peaceful and beautiful watching the sun come up over the ocean.  Morgan found a lot of goodies while we were walking.  She found seaweed, shells, a dead crab, an oyster and some.  She has a blast walking/running up and down the beach.  When we got back to the room she was excited to tell/show everyone all her goodies.

We went to the ocean for a little while, but the humidity was so high that my camera was foggy.  I did get a few pictures but they didn't turn out to well.

Then we headed to the pool so the kids could swim.  We have our own pool for our tower which means it is usually empty.  The kids took their boogy boards to the pool and played on them.  We played Marko Polo and the kids played.

After a few hours in the pool we all got showers and headed to Broadway at the Beach.  Wow what an amazing place.  I could have spent days at this place.  It was amazing all the things they have there.  The kids were amazed.

We walked around and stopped in a few stores, but didn't have a lot of time because we were all starving.  Morgan spotted a Build a Bear Workshop...which they have always wanted to do, so we will be making a trip back so they can Build a Bear.   While we were walking over the bridges there were ducks and fish swimming in the lake.  There was food where you could feed the fish.  It was amazing how many fish there were and how they acted when you threw food to them.  The kids kept wanting to feed them.

Also WonderWorks was here which we plan on going to on Thursday.

Our main reason for going there was to eat at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, but the wait was 2-3 hours and we were all starving to death so we decided to eat somewhere else.

We ended up at Joe's Crab Shack which was really good...the kids & I had never ate there before so it was a good experience for all of us.

A few more pictures from Broadway on the Beach.

On the way home we rode down the strip at Myrtle Beach.  There were LOTS of people and activities everywhere...we hope to take the kids down there one night before we have to leave.
