Just a few pictures

Just wanted to post a few pictures from Dance Dress Rehearsal before I went to bed. Everyone should try to come Sunday it is going to be an AWESOME performance!

WOW...it has been a week...

WOW. I didn't realize I hadn't blogged in a week. It has been a CRAZY week to say the least. The Hip-Hoppers had their first softball tournament on Saturday @ Scottsville. Needless to say, they need a lot more practice. There were only 4 teams @ the tournament. We play a team from Bowling Green and they ran all over us in the first game. We lost 26-1. The girls just weren't ready to play a team that was so advanced. After the first game we played Allen-County Scottsville team & the girls really enjoyed this game. They were more on our playing level. We lost this game also 12-6, but the girls learned a lot. Last we played a team from Owensboro & got beat 12-0. The girls had a great time, and now we know what we need to work on before the next game.

Coach pitch baseball starts this week. The first game was suppose to be Tuesday night, but got canceled. They now play Friday night @ the City Park in Edmonton @ 7:00. Both of the kids are excited!

Morgan recital is Sunday @ 4:00 p.m. Doors open @ 3:00 & it is first come first serve seating. The cost is $5.00 per person @ the door. Tonight they are having a walk through dress rehearsal with everyone. I can't wait to see all the dances. Mrs. Jessica is fantastic with all the girls.

Tomorrow we are going to the Lousiville Zoo for Spencer's Kindergarten trip. I am glad the weather is going to be nice. I will try to post pictures this weekend.

Spencer Kindergarten graduation is Friday, May 22 @ 11:30 in the blue gym (behind the elementary school. I will let everyone know more information when I find out.

I guess that is it for now.

A few things...

Morgan is at dance getting ready for the recital. They are having extra practices over the next two weeks to get their routine down. The recital is Sunday, April 26 @ 4:00 pm. The doors open @ 3:00 for seating. Seats & tickets are first come, first serve. Tickets are $5.00 each & are purchased at the door.

Morgan's softball team will be playing in their first tournament this weekend @ Scottsville, KY. The first game is @ 9 am. We won't know what time we play again until the first game is over. If anyone is interested in coming to a later game or needs direction let me know & I can call you after the first game is over & give you details.

I went and talked to my Nursing Adviser yesterday. I asked her about transferring to Glasgow Campus for the Nursing Program there. She seems liked this could happen, and I should know something in a week or so. Today I received an e-mail from her saying I needed to fax something in writing. I wrote a letter stating I was interested in a transfer. I e-mail the lady I faxed the letter to; to see if I needed to go ahead and register for classes at Bowling Green or wait for my transfer letter. She advised me that I needed to go ahead and register for classes at Bowling Green, because my request my not be granted and even if it was I may not know anything until classes start in the fall....which stinks but at least there is still hope. I just wish I could find out something a little earlier so I could plan everything else out.

The joy of being a "Mommy"

Thanks to my loving child...I now have strep throat. I am taking antibiotics and hopefully I will feel better by morning. I have a meeting with my Nursing adviser tomorrow. I will let everyone know how it goes. I have a Spanish test tomorrow, so I am hoping I get to feeling better soon, so I can study.

I have posted a link to Morgan's recital pictures. If the link doesn't take you right to her picture then go under the dance link & page 2 will be her individual picture and the group picture. The recital is Sunday, April 26th @ 4:00 p.m. Doors open @ 3:00. Seats are $5.00 each at the door. The recital will last approximately 1 & 1/2 hours. If anyone would like more information let me know.

Easter

Hope everyone had a GREAT Easter. We just got home from an egg hunt & cookout at Donna's. The kids are wore out. They enjoyed hunting eggs & spending time with "the girls" (Audi, Madi & Lauren) & "the boys" (Lucas & Logan).

I am mailing my letter to accept my position in the Nursing Program tomorrow =). I have to meet with my nursing adviser on Wednesday. I finally feel like the ball is rolling on the whole process. I know the summer will fly by with everything we have to do before school starts. I'm not sure what the next phase of the process is until they receive the acceptance letters back. The program will be e-mailing us with things we have to do and deadlines they have to be completed by. I will try to keep everyone informed.

The kids are back to school tomorrow. I don't think they are ready. They have been around the country over the last week. They seemed to enjoy their time off...besides the fact that Spencer was sick for about 3 days. He had Strep on Thursday...and didn't get better until Saturday. I am glad he is feeling better now. It's never fun having a sick child.

Tomorrow all activities start again. We have Baseball practice (weather permitting) & dance tomorrow night. Only 2 more weeks till the recital. I can't wait to watch the girls perform. Hopefully their pictures will be in tomorrow. I will post as soon as I get them.

Only 4 more weeks of school left for me. I have almost got my on-line classes finished. The next couple of weeks are crammed with stuff to do. I have a Spanish test on Wednesday...I have a B in there right now...hope I keep it that way.

Good Night for now. Again Hope EVERYONE had a HAPPY EASTER

Spencer has strep throat

I had to take Spencer to the doctor today and he has strep throat. They gave him an antibiotic so hopefully he will start feeling better soon. Morgan is traveling the roads again. She is staying the night with my Grandma Lowe & Papa John. We were going to go skating tonight, but Spencer didn't feel like it. We are just hanging out at the house. Spencer is taking a bath & we are fixing to lay in the bed and watch TV. We don't have anything to do tomorrow so we can sleep in. The kids will be going to their daddy's this weekend for Easter so I will be catching up on some more homework. Only 4 more weeks of school left...and when I go back...I will be in the nursing program. I am still so excited, but there is a lot of things I have to get done before school starts back....more on that later. Hope everyone has a good night!

Nursing Program

It has been a couple of weeks since I have blogged, but there has been a lot going on. I didn't get into the 4 year Nursing Program. I have spent the last week stressing out over whether or not I would get in the 2 year program. I got my letter today.....and...............I GOT ACCEPTED!!!! There are no words to say how I feel right now. I don't think it has hit me yet. I have come a LONG way in the last 3 years, and been told by many that I would NEVER amount to anything. Well, now I can laugh at them & say this the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I have worked hard to make it this far & I'm NOT giving up now. I will show everyone that I WILL make something of myself and be a lot better off then I have ever been in my life. I am so glad I have AWESOME family & friends, because there is NO way I could have done any of this without you! There have been several friends that anytime I needed anything....they have always been there....and I know they will always be there. Thanks again!

The kids are on Spring Break this week....and of course have been running the roads. They have been here, there & everywhere since Saturday. They are coming home tomorrow....and I am excited. I have missed them terribly, but have gotten a lot of school work caught up while they have been gone.

Taegyn got to come home last Thursday. She is healthy & absolutely beautiful. Thanks to everyone who prayed for her.

Getting ready for Interview tomorrow =)

I am still waiting to hear from my interview from last weekend. I was HOPING I would get my letter today & would get accepted so I wouldn't have to go to the interview tomorrow...so much for that. I am ready to get tomorrow over with. I am not nervous about it like I was last weekend, because I know what to expect this time around. The kids are going to their daddy's this weekend. So I am going to go to BG tonight & stay the night so I won't have to get up so early in the morning. I have to be @ South Campus @ 8:30 a.m. Wish me luck.

Please continue to keep the Robbins & England families in your prayers. Shannon lost his mother yesterday. Visitation will be Saturday with the funeral Sunday. Also continue to pray for the England family. They have a new baby girl: Taegyn Lera-Dawn born @ 5:44 PM, weighing 7lbs 14oz, & is 19 1/4 inches long. Kristen text this morning and said the baby was going to have to stay for a week due to an infection & low blood sugar. Please keep these two families in your thoughts & prayer during these trying times. I am going to see Kristen & the baby afterwhile.

Starting things off

To start things off I will fill everyone in on what has been going on around our house. As some of you know I had an interview for the 4 year Nursing Program last Saturday. I am still waiting to here whether I will get accepted or not. I also have another interview this Saturday @ 8:30 a.m. for the 2 year Nursing Program. Wish me LUCK!!!

As far as the kids go....they are keeping me VERY BUSY!!!

Morgan is in several activities right now. She is taking a dance/gymnastic class 1 night a week. She is loving it. She will be performing in a "recital" on April 26 @ 4:00 p.m. @ Metcalfe County Middle School. If anyone would like more information on this event feel free to get in contact with me. She is also in a local Girl Scout Troop. We switched troops in November and she is really enjoying the new troop. Since we have switched she has earned 6 try-its & 7 badges. She is really excited because they are participating in a lot of activities. The troop sold 3900 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies over the past couple of months. Morgan sold 381. We want to thank everyone who helped with the cookies sales. The girls will be attending Girl Scout camp for 3 days 2 nights over the summer with the money they made from cookie sales. They are also going to be attending a Girl Scout Camp-out on May 1st. This will be in Glasgow. It should be a lot of fun for all the girls. They are also planning on going to a day camp June 8-12. They will go Monday-Wednesday during the day, then they will go Thursday afternoon & return Friday around dinner. Well, it is baseball/softball time again. This year Morgan will be the Yankee's for her coach pitch baseball team. All games will be @ The City Park in Edmonton. I will post a schedule at a later date. She is also playing softball on a traveling girls team. They will be the Zaxby's Hip-Hoppers. All the girls are VERY excited. They were suppose to have thier 1st tournament this weekend, but it has been cancelled. When I know the date for the next tournament I will post it also.

Spencer will be playing Coach Pitch Baseball with Morgan this year. It is his 1st year playing Coach Pitch. He is VERY excited and has improved so much from last year.

Morgan's Birthday is also coming up before long. She will be having a "sleepover" @ Extreme Gymnastic's in Glasgow. I will post more information closer to time.

Please keep the Shannon & Bonnie Robbins family & Jamie & Kristen England family in your prayers. Shannon lost his mom today after a battle to cancer. Please remember them over the next couple of days as they will be hard. The England family are currently at the hospital having a baby. Please keep them in your prayers that everything goes smoothly.

I guess that is all for now. I would like to try to post daily to keep everyone informed about the kids, but it may not be that often.
