This past weekend was the first we have had without kids in a long time. Our lives revolve around the kids & they are here most of the time. We even have weekends when they are supposed to be with their other parents, but somehow they end up back here :) It is nice to have some alone time every now and then though (and healthy for a relationship). Friday night we headed to BG to eat. We had planned to go to O'Charley's because it is my favorite place. We went to pick mom up & on the way to O'Charley's I decided I wanted Shogun's. It was Bobby's first time eating there. I wish I would have taken my camera because he was amazed when they cooked in front of us. He LOVED the food & said we have to go back sometime, which is fine with me because I love that place. After eating we set out on a mission to find Bobby a pair of tennis shoes. We finally found some at the mall that he was satisfied with. On the way home we stopped at Brad & Beth's to visit for a minute.
On Saturday we headed out. We ended up in London at the Harley Davidson store, so Bobby could drool & look (dream) at bikes. He is bound & determined to have a bike before warm weather gets here...we will see. Then we headed to the Flea Market, we didn't find anything we couldn't live without so we left empty handed. We stopped at Golden Corral to eat lunch/supper. I love that place, they have the best salad bar..EVER. We also made the dreaded trip to Walmart for groceries...feeding 5 kids is expensive, plus the fact that we were out or almost out of EVERYTHING in the house. The trip was successful & we have lots of food now :) Saturday night Brad, Beth & the girls came up to play cards. It had been a while since we could get our schedules the same in order to play. We love to play Skip-bo and Phase 10. We also got the board games out and played a few games of Clue. We had a great weekend...to bad it had to end :(
Sorry no pictures...the camera took a vacation this weekend too :)
Back to work I went Sunday. One night wasn't too bad, but I don't like my schedule chopped up. I would rather work all my days together & get them over with. I am still hunting for the "right" job. I have put in several applications and I have been praying for God to lead me in the right direction for my family & myself.
