Last night was my last night at my first nursing job. When I clocked out this morning the time system wished me a "Happy Anniversary". Funny how I started one year ago today. I wanted to make it through my last night without tears and I did really well until time to leave this morning. Some of my co-workers have been begging me to stay since I put my notice in. I had the opportunity to work with some amazing people over the last year; some who I will consider friends for life. They all came and hugged me bye this morning and wished me the best of luck. I am going to miss these girls!! I am grateful for all their help & knowledge. When I first started I felt overwhelmed most of the time, but they were always there to help me, guide me, teach me & to let me know they had been in my shoes at one time. I have gained so much experience and knowledge and I am THANKFUL for that!
I have a few days off before I start my new job. We are taking the kids to Chicago for a few days. Look for lots of pictures soon!!
I am excited about starting my new job & the opportunities it will bring. I am glad to have found something closer to home. I am tired of driving 160 miles a day to work and/or staying in BG with my mom for 3 days. I will miss seeing my mom though!!! Hopefully this new journey will allow me to spend more time with my family and maybe; just maybe I will feel like a normal person again.
