I went to work early last night so I could get off early to take the kids to school on their first day. The first day of school I always hard for me. It means my kids are getting older and growing up WAY to fast. This first day was a lot hard on me because it was the first day at a new school for the kids also. I'm sure they had a great day, but momma's always worry.
This morning when I got home from work both the kids were up and ready to go. Morgan has her own alarm clock and woke herself up extra early so she could straighten her hair. She is now in the 6th grade & Spencer is in the 4th grade...where has the time gone?

On the way to school they were both jabbering away, playing their day out in their heads. When we pulled up in the parking lot they both begged me not to walk them in (this made me sad). I told them I was walking them in, but I promised not to kiss or hug them in front of the whole school. Once they walked in the door I think they were a little nervous (or maybe it was just me). They all sit in the gym until time to go their classes. They weren't sure where to go because it was all new to them. A teacher could see we were struggling and came over to see if we needed anything. We told ER it was their first day and that they were unsure where they were supposed to be. She helped them to their respected spots in the gym. I didn't want to leave, but I knew it was time for me to go. It was hard walking out the doors leaving my babies.
I came home and tried to sleep while the house was quiet. I did manage to get a few hours sleep, but I kept waking up thinking about the kids. I was ready for them to be home to hear about their first day and all about their new school.
When they got off the bus they were ALL smiles. They were excited to tell me about their first day! Morgan & Spencer both adjusted fine! They both had to tell me about all their new friends. Haylee was excited to back at school too! She rode the bus home with the kids :)

I spent the afternoon getting the mounds of paperwork filled out. They have already picked their clothes out for tomorrow, got their snacks packed & book bags ready. Tomorrow will be their first morning to ride the bus.
